TERMS & CONDITIONS + SERVICE DISCLAIMERS
CORPORATE IDENTIFICATION & TRADING STATUS
N1 Garage is a registered business name operated strictly by NZAU Automotive Pty Ltd (ACN: 702 473 970/ ABN: 14 702 473 970). All mobile diagnostic assessments, vehicle inspections, and commercial services are executed exclusively under the corporate structure of the operating entity.
MOBILE CALL-OUT CHARGES & BOOKING POLICIES
1. Service Area Operations:
N1 Garage currently operates within a 20km radius of our Current Operating Location/hub (as displayed actively on our official Google Business Profile, Facebook page, or website). Bookings requested outside of this 20km zone require explicit manual confirmation prior to appointment scheduling, and additional distance-based travel surcharges will apply.
2. Compulsory Upfront Payment & Dispatch Protocols:
To protect our strict daily operational scheduling and logistics windows, full payment of the total service invoice is required to formally confirm your booking slot. N1 Garage accepts instant bank transfers via PayID only. Our mobile field units operate on a strict "No Pay, No Dispatch" protocol. No vehicle inspectors will depart from our hub until payment verification has fully cleared our corporate merchant account. If a client's PayID transfer has not successfully cleared our accounts prior to the scheduled departure time, the appointment slot will be instantly forfeited, paused, or rescheduled at our absolute discretion.
3. Tiered Call-Out Fee Structure:
Travel charges are automatically calculated based on the driving distance from our Current Operating Location to the nominated inspection site:
- Zone 1 - 0 to 10km: FREE (Complimentary mobile dispatch)
- Zone 2 - 10km to 20km: $50.00 Call-out Fee (Applied directly to the final service invoice)
- Zone 3 - 20km+ : Bookings requested outside of our standard 20km operational radius require explicit manual confirmation prior to scheduling. Please get in touch directly to discuss availability, as outside Standard-Zone travel surcharges will apply.
4. Weather Weather Extremes, Undercover Requirements & Customer Liability:
All mobile service bookings are strictly subject to prevailing weather conditions. It is the absolute responsibility and liability of the booking customer (or vehicle seller) to provide a clear, fully undercover area or enclosed garage to perform the inspection if conditions are deemed unsafe or unfeasible by our technicians.
- Precipitation: Mobile electronic diagnostic systems cannot operate in active rain, hail, or dense moisture due to equipment degradation risks.
- Extreme Heat Warning: Professional calibrated digital film thickness gauges operate strictly within controlled temperature boundaries. Direct, unshaded exposure to the sun can heat sheet-metal panels past safe operational limits, causing thermal molecular expansion that compromises calibrated panel depth accuracy. Target vehicles must be moved out of direct sunlight and allowed to cool to ambient temperatures prior to paint analysis.
If an adequate undercover space or shaded, temperature-stable environment is not provided on-site during severe or extreme weather conditions, N1 Garage reserves the absolute right to immediately cancel, postpone, or reschedule the appointment at its sole discretion without liability.
5. Vehicle Cleanliness & Inspection Standards (Paint & Body):
For all pre-purchase inspections and standalone paint depth checks, the vehicle must be presented in a clean, washed, and reasonable condition. Heavy dirt, mud, dust, road grime, or ceramic coatings can interfere with diagnostic accuracy and prevent the paint gauge from registering correct micron levels. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the vehicle is clean or to request that the seller maintains it in a tidy condition prior to arrival. N1 Garage accepts no liability for hidden surface defects or inaccurate paint depth measurements caused by a dirty or unwashed vehicle.
MOBILE PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION PACKAGE TERMS
1. Scope of Work & Visual Assessment Limitations:
This service is a visual and functional assessment only, conducted on-site without hoist access, component dismantling, or the removal of vehicle guards, underbody trays, and protective panels. The findings represent a diagnostic snapshot of the vehicle’s condition at the precise date and time of the inspection. This inspection cannot predict future mechanical wear, latent defects, hidden structural anomalies, or imminent component failures. It strictly does not constitute a Victorian Certificate of Roadworthiness (RWC) issued under VicRoads directives or Vehicle Standards Information 26 (VSI 26), a formal statutory safety certification, or a mechanical/electrical warranty of any kind.
2. Paint Depth Gauge Analysis:
Paint depth measurements are taken exclusively on accessible, clean steel and aluminium body panels using a calibrated and certified gauge. This device cannot read or measure plastic, composite, fibreglass, or carbon fibre panels. The gauge strictly measures the combined, overall film build thickness and cannot isolate or break down the individual depths of primer, base paint, filler, or clear coat layers. These readings serve as an investigative aid to detect surface variations and do not definitively confirm or rule out historical accident history, structural repairs, or body restoration work. This module is completely excluded from the Essential Inspection tier.
3. OBD Diagnostic Scan & Electronic Modules:
Where applicable and supported by the vehicle's electronic architecture, available control modules are scanned for active, stored, or pending Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Scan coverage, module accessibility, and data depth vary significantly depending on the vehicle's make, model, year, and tool compatibility; unsupported or uncommunicative modules will be noted in the report. Scan findings exclusively reflect electronic data available at the exact time of testing. An OBD scan cannot diagnose internal mechanical wear and cannot uncover historical faults or diagnostic data that may have been intentionally or systematically cleared prior to the inspection.
4. Battery & Charging System Network Exclusions:
Battery health, cranking voltage, and alternator charging outputs are verified via direct access terminals only. If a battery is physically inaccessible or requires component dismantling to reach, this test will not be conducted. Battery testing applies exclusively to standard 12V automotive electrical networks. All high-voltage Hybrid traction packs, Electric Vehicle (EV) battery systems, and heavy-commercial 24V electrical networks are strictly excluded from our diagnostic scope. Results indicate the battery's operating condition at the exact time of testing and cannot guarantee future cell reliability, capacity retention, or cold-cranking performance under altered environmental or climatic conditions.
5. Road Test Constraints:
Road test assessments are strictly subject to prevailing road conditions, traffic density, local speed limits, weather hazards, and the explicit permission and insurance coverage granted by the vehicle owner or selling agent at the time of testing. If the vehicle is unregistered, lacks adequate fuel, poses an immediate safety risk, or permission is withheld, the road test will be omitted and noted accordingly.
6. Vehicle Type Restrictions:
Services provided by N1 Garage are strictly limited to standard passenger cars (including sedans, hatchbacks, coupes, wagons, daily drivers, and sports cars), consumer Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs), and JDM imports. All light commercial vehicles, utilities (Utes / dual-cab utilities), light trucks, cargo transport vans, heavy-duty 4x4 off-road vehicles, and lifted off-road rigs are completely excluded from our diagnostic and inspection scope. N1 Garage does not inspect vehicles with commercial cargo configurations, heavy-duty suspension lift setups, or commercial freight designs..
7. Aftermarket Modification Scope:
Where an eligible passenger vehicle or consumer SUV features aftermarket performance modifications (including lowered street suspension, upgraded turbo/supercharger networks, aftermarket exhaust lines, or non-factory wheel configurations), our inspection remains strictly a visual and basic static functional check of what is present at that precise hour. N1 Garage does not test or verify the engineering tolerances, legal compliance, or structural safety of aftermarket performance additions. We assume zero liability for the installation quality or structural load limits of non-factory accessories, including roof racks, custom storage units, or cargo bars.
8. Steering, Suspension & Braking Ground Visual Parameters:
Assessments for braking lines, flexible hoses, shock absorbers, steering rack boots, and constant velocity (CV) boots are strictly restricted to components accessible and visible from a static, ground-level perspective (with front wheels turned to full steering lock). Complete visual access to inner boots, internal shock valving, structural chassis bushings, and driveline components requires a workshop hoist to unload the suspension and is strictly excluded. Vehicles with lowered street suspension, factory aerodynamics, or plastic underbody protective shields that obstruct this ground-level field of view will be noted as "Restricted Access / Not-Visible".
STANDALONE SERVICES (STANDALONE DIAGNOSTICS)
1. Standalone Digital Paint Depth Check:
This independent service involves executing precision measurements across accessible, reasonably clean metallic panels using a calibrated and certified gauge to evaluate film build consistency and isolate surface variations, sharp measurement spikes, or irregular density patterns that indicate hidden filler, re-sprays, or historical repairs. Digital measurements are taken exclusively on metallic panels and do not evaluate plastic bumpers, composite trims, fibreglass, or carbon fibre components. The gauge measures overall combined film thickness and cannot isolate individual layers of primer, paint, or filler. These readings serve as an investigative aid and do not definitively confirm or rule out historical accident history, structural repairs, or body restoration work.
2. Standalone OBD2 All-Systems Fault Scan & Battery Test:
This independent service invokes a thorough interrogation of available and supported electronic control modules to extract active, stored, or pending Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) alongside a physical charging system test. Module access and tool data depth are strictly determined by the vehicle's factory electronic architecture. Battery testing applies exclusively to standard 12V automotive electrical networks. All high-voltage Hybrid traction packs, Electric Vehicle (EV) systems, and heavy-commercial 24V electrical networks are completely excluded from this service. Scan and electrical findings exclusively reflect diagnostic data available at the exact time of testing. This service cannot diagnose internal mechanical wear and cannot uncover historical data that may have been intentionally cleared prior to arrival.
3. Standalone Cylinder Compression Testing (Petrol Vehicles Only):
This specialised service is strictly limited to inline 4-cylinder and 5-cylinder petrol engines where spark plugs or ignition coils are directly accessible without the removal of intake plenums, structural brackets, or extensive bay shielding. Diesel engines are entirely excluded from this service. Due to the inherent heat, age, and environmental degradation of plastic, composite, and rubber components in performance or high-mileage vehicles, N1 Garage accepts no liability for the failure, fracturing, or breakage of brittle ignition coils, clips, boots, or wiring looms during normal, professional disassembly. This assessment reflects static mechanical conditions at the exact time of testing and cannot predict future internal mechanical wear, bearing failures, or oil pressure variances..
LIABILITY (ALL SERVICES)
Liability Cap & Dispute Restrictions:
To the maximum extent permitted under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012 (Vic), the financial liability of N1 Garage for any omission, oversight, error, or breach of service guarantee is strictly capped at a refund of the specific service fee paid. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any non-excludable statutory consumer guarantees, including the requirement that the services be provided with due care and skill. All generated diagnostic scan records, digital depth micron logs, and visual inspection sheets represent a protective consultation report for the designated purchasing client only; our files are strictly unauthorised for use in VCAT hearings, civil litigation, insurance liability claims, or formal legal disputes.
